Creek Chub (Semotilus atromaculatus)


Creek ChubDescription: This species has a large black spot at the front of its dorsal fin base, a black caudal spot, and a black stripe along its side around its snout and onto its upper lip. This species can reach a maximum of 240 mm.

Habitat: Creek Chub are found in small, clear, streams; near shores of small lakes.
