Russell students plant trees to improve local aquatic habitat
SNC is partnering with 50 student volunteers from St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School and École élémentaire publique de la Rivière Castor, to plant 860 trees on Russell Township property.
This launches SNC’s Stream Watch Program, which relies on volunteers, guided by experienced staff, to participate in environmental monitoring, stewardship, and community collaboration in Prescott and Russell and the City of Ottawa. The Program receives funding from the RBC Blue Water Project and will include events on June 12, 2014. For more information, contact Phil Duncan: pduncan@nation.on.ca.
