Every year, over one thousand children splash their way to a better understanding of water conservation at the Eastern Ontario Children’s Water Festival, held in Casselman and Spencerville in the spring, and Cornwall in the fall.  The multiple day festival consists of dozens of fun and educational hands-on Water Discovery Centres designed to complement the grade four Ontario curriculum.

Students in grades three to five will learn about specific water conservation and protection messages including the effects of oil spills on wildlife, runoff from farm fields, and how to conserve water at home while completing daily tasks like brushing teeth.  Hundreds of community volunteers, including high school and college students, supervise the water activity stations and deliver the learning messages to the young participants.

South Nation Conservation will be a guest presenter at this festival.
