When you donate to South Nation Conservation, you help provide critical financing to projects designed to protect and restore a healthy watershed. Making a financial donation to SNC can be done by mail or in person. A secure and easy online payment feature will be added soon. We issue charitable tax receipts for contributions.

The Ian Mitchell Memorial Fund has also been established to help honour and thank Ian Mitchell, Past Chair of SNC's Communication's Committee, for his unconditional contributions, support and companionship throughout his years of involvement with SNC. Ian passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016, ending his battle with cancer. Donations received through this fund will be put towards the costs of adding park memorial benches at Reveler and Two Creeks Conservation Areas, two of Ian's favourite areas to visit. The rest of the funds will be invested in SNC's tree planting and land aquisition programs. South Nation Conservation will be matching all of the money received through this fund.

SNC also gratefully accepts donations of ecological land. It’s the gift that keeps on giving beyond the lifetime of the donor, and in many situations, there are attractive environmental and economic benefits for such donations.

SNC uses donated lands to improve forest cover, ensure healthy and safe waterways, and provide public recreational areas.

A member of the Ontario Trust Alliance, SNC is approved to accept donations of land through Canada’s Ecological Gifts Program. In most cases, tax incentives can be provided; in the case of easements, title is maintained by the owners.

SNC manages lands for ecological values. Donated land does not have to be forested—we will consider wetlands and agricultural properties.
