Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio) (INT)


Common CarpDescription: Carp is noted for its large, robust size. It is easy to identify with a grey back and copper-coloured sides with large scales, and an overhanging snout with two barbells on each side of the upper jaw.

Habitat: It prefers warm, shallow water with an abundance of aquatic vegetation. Carp is most noticeable in the spring when spawning in marshes, creeks, and ditches.
