SNC’s annual youth fish camp reels in young anglers from across the watershed every summer!
Knowing the rules, where to drop a line, and how to identify fish species are all on the agenda. SNC offers the opportunity to have fun learning about fly fishing from the experts, to help familiarize young people with the natural environment in the watershed. We provide them with the skills and tools to fish responsibly, including a free rod. New skills are put into practice by casting out lines for some catch and release. Participants are 9 to 13-years old, and don’t require any experience. The site location rotates throughout the watershed. We will post details as they become available.
This year, SNC will be hosting 3 Camps:
- July 4 and July 5: High Falls Conservation Area, Casselman
- July 18 and July 19: Cass Bridge Conservation Area, Winchester
- August 8 and August 9: Jessup's Falls Conservation Area, Plantagenet
