SNC’s annual youth fish camp reels in young anglers from across the watershed every summer!
Knowing the rules, where to drop a line, and how to identify fish species are all on the agenda. SNC offers the opportunity to have fun learning about fly fishing from the experts, to help familiarize young people with the natural environment in the watershed. We provide them with the skills and tools to fish responsibly, including a free rod. New skills are put into practice by casting out lines for some catch and release. Participants are 10 to 15-years old, and don’t require any experience. The site location rotates throughout the watershed. We will post details as they become available.
This year, the first Fish Camp will be held on July 5th and 6th at Cass Bridge Conservation Area. The second fish camp will be held on July 19th and 20th at High Falls Conservation Area.
