Just in time for Father’s Day weekend, the SDG Library has partnered with South Nation Conservation to offer another StoryWalk® in SDG. On Saturday, June 19 and Sunday, June 20 a StoryWalk® will be set up on a trail at Warwick Forest to support reading while spending time outdoors enjoying nature.
A StoryWalk® presents the pages from a picture book for walkers to read as they explore a designated trail. Pages of the story are displayed on large boards which are placed along the trail. This initiative supports both literacy and healthy living.
The StoryWalk® at Warwick Forest will be available beginning at 10am on Saturday, June 19 and will be posted until 3pm on Sunday, June 20. Participants can follow the designated route on their own, however SNC and SDG Library staff will be on site between 10am-3pm each day to direct participants to the start. Trail users must follow all public health precautions including practicing physical distancing while visiting the Forest.
