3 Millionth Tree Planting - Media Event

When:                  Saturday May 5th

Where:                 Camp Sheldrick, Webb Road, Winchester (off of 12489 Nesbitt Road)

What:                    This year’s tree planting program will mark a milestone achievement with the planting of our 3 millionth tree since 1990. To honor this milestone, SNC will host a tree planting event with the support of over 100 regional scouts to plant a 1500 tree windbreak.  During the event a White Pine (Pinus strobus) will be planted as the 3 millionth tree in twenty-eight years.

Time:                    9:30am - 11:30 am lunch to follow

Number of Participants: 100-150 from Nepean, Hunt Club, Osgoode, Russell and North Gower

Average age:       5-26
