SNC is excited to announce the new Geopassport guide as well as a special announcement about the Oschmann Forest and Maple Education Program.
The Geopassport takes participants on a self-guided tour and real-life treasure hunt through publicly owned forests throughout the region. Guide education focuses on the economical, ecological and social benefits of forests; while offering users a chance to visit new forested properties and step into nature. Each cache has a coordinate and hint to follow and includes information on SNC programs and services.
An announcement on the future of SNC’s Maple Syrup Education Program will also take place at this event. This education program draws thousands of youth from Eastern Ontario every year to learn more about natural heritage, forest ecology, ecosystem habitat, maple syrup production and First Nation’s traditional knowledge.
The unveiling of the Geopassport and Maple Education announcement will be followed by refreshments and a property tour. Be sure to download the Geocaching app before the event to start hunting!
