Your Forests

Forests play a key role in the water cycle and in maintaining water quality and quantity. They filter pollutants out of the air and water and regulate water distribution. Water held by the forest floor localizes flooding and increases summer flows downstream. Forested areas have clearer streams, more abundant wildlife and less erosion. South Nation Conservation is committed to the concept of sustainable development and an ecosystem-based approach in the planning and managing of its forest resources.
