Eleven finalists were honoured at the 2010 Tri-Valley Conservation Awards Gala held at the new South Nation Conservation conference centre in Finch on Wednesday, October 20th.
The awards evening, a collaborative effort of the South Nation, Rideau Valley, and Mississippi Valley conservation authorities, is designed to recognize outstanding contributions to conservation and environmental health in the three watersheds. This years finalists have been involved in projects that include tree planting, water quality protection, shoreline stewardship, conservation education and advocacy, natural beautification and other activities contributing to the health of the watersheds.

Nature Works Learning, RR#1 Pakenham - Winner
Pratt & Whitney Canada - Runner-up
Muncipality:
The Nation Municipality - Winner
The tri-valley area covers more than 12,000 square-km, from Perth, to Bon Echo, to Pakenham, into Ottawa and east to Plantagenet, and south to Morrisburg. Close to 1 million people live in the combined watersheds.
