Having trouble finding the right gift for the environmentalist on your list? How about the gift of cleaner water? Improved habitat for fish and wildlife, or help for species at risk? It’s all possible through a donation to South Nation Conservation, and you can do it without leaving the comfort of your home.
As a registered charity and not-for-profit organization, South Nation Conservation accepts donations from the public through the CanadaHelps.org website. CanadaHelps is a public foundation that makes it easy for anyone to donate to any registered Canadian charity online.
The online donation process is simple. You can visit CanadaHelps.org directly, or link to the site through the South Nation Conservation website at www.nation.on.ca. Once there, enter ‘South Nation Conservation’, and simply follow the screen prompts.
“Donations are greatly appreciated, and help fund projects in the watershed that might not otherwise be possible,” says Gord Shaver, Media Specialist at SNC. “You can dedicate your donation to where it’s most needed, or choose a specific project or cause, like tree planting. You can even dedicate your gift in memory of, or in honour of an individual, group or organization.”
On the CanadaHelps website, donations can be made using major credit cards, Paypal, or Interac. A small fee from each donation offsets credit card and transaction charges. Receipts for tax purposes are provided through CanadaHelps.
For more information on donating to South Nation Conservation, contact Gord Shaver at 1-877-984-2948 Ext. 296.
